Meet Brianne

I am a licensed master’s social worker (LMSW) with over 10 years of experience in the mental health field. I have a wide range of clinical experience, including working in residential and inpatient hospital settings, intensive outpatient settings, outpatient mental health, and clinical assessment in the hospital setting. My areas of expertise include: Self-esteem, anxiety/panic disorders, depression, emotion regulation, life transitions/adjustment disorders, women’s issues, and grief/loss. While I provide individual counseling services to clients aged 8 and above, I specialize in working with teenagers and young adults. I utilize a holistic framework which considers the biological, psychological, social, and spiritual elements of functioning. I start with a strengths based perspective which aims to understand and leverage each client’s unique strengths in order to address their areas of concern. The approaches I most often utilize are cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness based stress reduction (MBSR), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), faith based counseling, motivational interviewing, and solution focused therapy.

When I am not working I enjoy exploring new places, spending time with my family and friends, practicing yoga, listening to podcasts, and enjoying the outdoors. I am passionate about environmentalism, healthy living, and a good cup of coffee!

Education: I received my master’s degree in social work (MSW) from Western Michigan University and a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Psychology from Grand Valley State University.

Ready To Take The Next Step?

Insurance

I am currently able to accept Blue Cross Blue Shield, Blue Care Network, McLaren Health Plans, PHP, Medicare, and straight Medicaid insurances.

I am actively working to become enrolled with several more insurance companies. If I am not currently in network with your insurance and you would like to pay for services out of pocket, I would be happy to discuss a sliding scale fee based on household income.

Please note, it is important to contact your insurance company prior to beginning treatment in order to understand your policy, deductible, and copays.

Payment

Cost for counseling sessions is due at the time of service. Payment methods include: cash, check, credit/debit card, and HSA/FSA.

Clients must cancel or reschedule their appointment at least 48 hours prior to their appointment start time to avoid a late cancellation/no show fee (excluding sudden illness or emergency). Please note, the late cancellation fee is the full cost of your scheduled appointment, and insurance companies will not cover this cost.

New and current clients may access their individual client portal via Therapy Notes. This is where you will find all intake paperwork to be completed prior to your initial appointment.

If you have forgotten your login information for the portal, please send an email to Contact@KairosCounselingMI.com to get your login email and have your password reset. Thank you!
